BEAUTY IS SKIN DEEP

How could one be so unhapy with herself, although she's considered close to perfect, that she'd fatally jeopardize her health? 38 year old former Miss Argentina died from complications after undergoing cosmetic surgery on her buttocks. A close friend of the beauty queen and mother of twin girls revealed that the procedure involved injections and the liquid went to her lungs and brain. He added "a woman who had everything lost her life to have a slightly firmer behind."
I just don't get it. I can't imagine going under the knife unless it was to save my life. There are risks in any surgery so to undergo cosmetic surgery basically surgery that isn't medically necessary to me is unnecessary. Remember when Usher's now ex-wife Tameka Foster tried to have a tummy tuck and liposuction two months afer she gave birth to their second son? And do to complications, she almost lost her life? Again all unnecessary... putting your "life" at risk for a flatter tummy or a tighter booty!
What's wrong with being happy with body we have? And if we want to improve our body, why not work a little and go to the gym? Anything worth having is worth working for. We live in a "fast food society where we want what we want quick, fast and in a hurry. And especially if we've got the money or can come up with it, we feel like we can have whatever we want... now. But just like fast food... just because we can afford whatever it is we're seeking at the time and get it quickly, doesn't mean that it's the best thing for us.
The death of the former Argentian beauty queen should be a wake up call. Her children are girls. Especially young ladies need reinforcement that beauty is skin deep.
Is beauty worth ones life? Can money buy happiness? If it could she would still be alive. RIP.
